About
Jewellery you can actually wear every day
oré started with a small frustration: pieces that looked beautiful in the box and stopped looking like themselves a fortnight later. We wanted the opposite. Gold that holds its colour, weight that feels considered in the hand, and prices that let you own more than one pair.
The founder
Made by Isbah
oré is named for the raw metal a piece begins as, and signed by the person who chooses every one of them. Isbah started the label after years of buying jewellery that never quite lasted, and nothing joins the collection that she has not worn herself first.
The result is a short list rather than a long one. Fewer styles, chosen carefully, restocked when they sell out rather than replaced by something new.
What we stand for
Gold that stays
18k gold plating over 316L stainless steel rather than brass, so the colour holds up to daily wear instead of fading within weeks.
Light enough to forget
Hoops and drops are built hollow where they can be, so a statement pair does not become uncomfortable by the afternoon.
Priced to own
Small runs and a short list keep costs down, so building a set does not have to be a single expensive decision.
Materials
Steel underneath, gold on top
Every piece begins as 316L stainless steel, the same grade used for pieces worn against skin all day. It is then plated in 18k gold, and set with shell pearls or cut crystals by hand.
Steel is heavier to work with and more expensive than brass. It is also the reason a pair still looks like itself a year in.
Slowly
Small collections, released a few at a time
New pieces arrive when they are right rather than on a schedule. If something sells out, it usually comes back.
